Christmas memories #5

Visit, visit, visit!  This is a wonderful time of year to visit that aunt or uncle you haven't seen since last year.  You think of it every time you drive by and think I will have time later.  No time is better than now!  It is so rewarding to visit with a homebound relative, friend or neighbor.  You will be the highlight of their day and maybe even the whole Christmas season.  BTW, take them some of your baked cookies or roasted pecans.  What better gift this season than to give of yourself.  Nursing homes are often forgotten in the hustle and bustle of the holidays.  I always said if you feel down and out, visit a nursing home.   I will assure you your spirits will be lifted.  The smiles and excitement you will see on those dear faces are worth more than words can express.  I can warn you....Your steps will be lighter when you leave.
